We collect the personal information you give to us when you access our services. This information may include your name, ethnicity, date of birth, address, contact number(s) and email address. If you sign up to be a volunteer, we will also collect additional information relevant to processing your application. If you make a payment to us, we will collect information about dates and amounts so we can issue you with a receipt. We use a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliant hosted payment service to process payment card transactions. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Your payment card details will only be collected and held securely by our third-party payment processor.
2. How do we use personal information?
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- to reply to your queries;
- to process any payments you may make to us;
- to respond to concerns or complaints;
- to communicate with you and provide you with information about our services;
- to provide you with a quality service (e.g. Visiting Service, Total Mobility Service)
- with your permission, to refer you to other agencies who may provide further assistance for you.
3. How do we store personal information?
We store personal data electronically and in paper form. The personal information is kept safe and secure using generally accepted standards of security.
4. How can you access and request correction of your personal information?
If you would like to access or request correction of any personal information which we hold about you, please tell our staff. We recommend you make your request in writing to Age Concern Wairarapa, 14B Queen Street, Masterton 5810 or by email at admin@acww.nz.
5. Do we share or disclose your personal information?
We will not disclose your personal information except for the purpose for which you have provided it or for which you have provided your consent. We will disclose personal information about you (including your identity) to a third party if we are required to do so by law or where a relevant exception in the Privacy Act 2020 applies.
6. For how long do we hold personal information?
We will keep your personal information for only as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose for which we collected it. If at any time you no longer wish to receive any of our communications or do not want your information disclosed for the purposes outlined under section 5 of this Privacy Policy, please tell our staff.
